Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of competition, company size, and leverage on bank stability in Indonesia, which is proxied by the z-score and return on assets (ROA). The sample used in this study amounted to 17 banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during 2010–2019, with sample selection using a purposive technique. The research data used in this study is secondary quantitative data obtained from annual financial reports. The analysis used in this research is descriptive statistical analysis, classical assumption test, and panel data regression analysis. The results showed that competition has a positive effect on z-score, company size has no effect on z-score, leverage has a positive effect on z-score, and competition has a positive effect on ROA. Company size has no effect on ROA, and leverage does not have an influence on ROA.
